PURCHASING PHOTOGRAPHS

EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS:

John uses a Hasselblad with 38mm, 80mm and 180mm lenses for most of his work. He also works with a Contax G2 35mm system.

The images are made without any optical filters at the time of exposure and are printed directly from the original negative or transparency, or from scans, depending on the image. The intention of scanning negatives or transparencies is to maintain the integrity of the original source, to catalogue or archive the work, and to allow printing on longer lasting materials. Virtually all of John's work is printed on either Fuji type C Crystal Archive Photographic paper, or as Pigmented Ink Giclee prints. Both of these types of images represent the finest printing materials currently available to photographers in terms of print longevity and image quality.
